BESSY II is a 3rd generation light source with a beam energy of 1.7 GeV. In the past two years the facility has seen an number of improvements in order to react to steadily increasing user requirements concerning beam quality and beam stability. These include the introduction of top-up operation, the commissioning of a faster orbit feedback, and the installation of a fully digital bunch-by-bunch feedback system.
In this talk operational status and recent developments of the fast-orbit feedback and the bunch-by-bunch feedback system are presented. Special focus will be put on the diagnostics capabilities offered by the feedback systems. The localization of the cause of a at 10-Hz-beam distortion, and introduced countermeasures will be discussed.
